During some downtime between projects and soon after completing the base design of the Smart Doll skeleton/frame replica, I had some extra time between work and waiting for the frame parts to print. Wanting to continue improving my sculpting skills, I decided to try my hand at replicating a character and costume from the famous LoveLive Gatcha smartphone game.
All up total hours of sculpting was roughly 100 hours however I learnt a lot of new techniques and became faster at modeling as time went on. In the end I am really happy with the result, it might not be printable due to the detail and parts hanging freely in some areas. A future goal is to create a figure for printing.
Upon reflection, i once again realise how difficult it is to replicate a 2D enviroment or character and import them into the 3D space. I am not entirely happy with the way the face turned out, especially with it color/painted.
I have decided that this will be an ongoing project. I might need to learn how to retopologize though! Haha
