Sculpt of a head bust of Yasuo from League of Legends with reference images gathered from different mediums, including 2d animations, drawing, fan art and offical works.
Afterthoughts:
I was aiming to create a rough, rigid, cold, battle hardened face which is expressed by the character in his story and personality, and really loved how the expression turned out. I had some trouble with the eyes, specifically the size of the eyes. Originally, the eyes were much bigger which gave off a cuter, softer female looking face. At one point the face reminded me of some sort of KPOP idol which was hardly the focus haha. Another area that I thought about was widening and enlarging the chin and shrinking the eyelids to give an even more gruff look. Upon recieving feedback from different sources, they quoted that the sculpted face looked more caucasian than asian. In the future, I will need to practice creating faces of different races.
If I were to focus on improving this model in the future, I would add more skin details and dents, rather than the even skin pores texture that he was rendered with here.
